Every so often, I want to take a moment to thank all of you for dropping by this website/blog and keeping current with all things Mister Cooper. And while I’m on the subject of gratitude, I also want to thank everyone for coming out to sing along with me at the various performances this summer. I really appreciate everyone’s participation and support. It warms my heart to see so many familiar faces wherever I go to play my music. Thank you, one and all.

Summer is almost over, schools are getting ready to reopen, and there have been some changes in my performing schedule that I want to tell you about. Sad to say, but my weekly visits to Belle Cooledge Library will soon be coming to an end. There are two more sessions for the Sing-Along Club there:
    Thursday, August 26: 10:30 – 11:00 am
    Thursday, September 2: 10:30 – 11:00 am

After that, I’ll be starting the Sing-Along Club at Valley Hi Library once again. Still on Thursdays, the starting time will be different. I hope you will join me there for more singing and freeze dancing fun. Here are the new dates and time:
    Thursdays, September 9 through November 4 + November 18: 4:00 – 4:30 pm

Also, I will not be performing during the final August Music In The Park concert or the Curtis Fest in September. These events are still being held, just without my music. I plan on going to both, so maybe I’ll see you there.

Last, but not least, The Loose Acoustic Trio has had some schedule changes as well. Here are the latest corrections for the Farmers Market schedule:
    Cancelled dates:
Saturday, September 25: Country Club Farmers Market
Saturday, October 9: Sunrise Farmers Market
    Current Schedule:
Saturday, August 28: Sunrise Farmers Market
Saturday, September 11: Sunrise Farmers Market
Saturday, September 18: Natomas Farmers Market
Saturday, October 2: Natomas Farmers Market
Saturday, October 16: Country Club Farmers Market
(Farmers Market music runs from 9 – 11:30 am)

So, as you can see, there are a lot of changes. Scroll down this page for more information on when and where I’ll be in your neighborhood. I look forward to seeing you at Fairytale Town (Aug. 28), Gold Rush Days (Sept. 4-6), a Farmers Market, one of the libraries, or back at school. Please check in often for more updates and news. Thanks, again…

The Loose Acoustic Trio has been singing and playing music at Gold Rush Days since 2000, making this our 11th year there. It’s a fabulous event that takes place every Labor Day Weekend in Old Town Sacramento. The California Gold Rush is our history, folks. And this is a fun way for your 4th grader to enrich what they’ll be learning at school this year. There’s so much for everyone to do and see. Check it out:

“More than 200 tons of dirt will be dumped on the streets of Old Town Sacramento as the annual festival “turns back the clock,” transforming Sacramento’s historic district into a scene straight out of the 1850s. Costumed re-enactors, Wild West gun fights, musicians playing period instruments, and many aspects of life during the Gold Rush will be highlighted during the four-day event. Gold Panning, Dancing, Street Dramas, Pony & Wagon Rides, Period Artifacts, Storytelling, Craft Making, the Embarcadero Tent City, the Ethnic Village, Horse-Drawn Carriages and much more!”

Here is the schedule of when we’ll be performing:

Saturday, Sept. 4 – sets start at 2 pm, 4 pm, and 6 pm
Sunday, Sept. 5 – sets start at 11 am, and 12:45 pm
Monday, Sept. 6 – sets start at 11 am, and 1 pm
    (see daily handouts for locations)

So, please join us for a few songs and then stay a while to take in the sights and sounds of Gold Rush Days. It’s a great way to end the summer on a high note.
